Profile

Geologist working at the intersection of geomorphology, remote sensing and field geoscience. My MSc research characterised and classified the landforms of a large, dynamic river system using multi-temporal satellite imagery, terrain and morphometric analysis, and field sediment data; my current role centres on real-time subsurface logging and formation characterisation. First-author paper accepted in the Journal of Earth System Sciences (Springer), with a strong foundation across geomorphology, terrain analysis and fluvial sedimentology, plus Python programming.

💡 Also a self-taught developer — creator of Bachelors' Meal Manager, an Android app on Google Play with 10,000+ active users (built in Java & Dart / Flutter).

Experience

Sep 2025 – Present

Mud Logger (Geoscientist)

CNPC Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company (CCDC)
  • Monitor and analyse real-time subsurface data — formation pressures, lithological transitions and gas signals — using CMS software and sensor arrays.
  • Examine rock cuttings to identify lithology and maintain continuous geological logs supporting reservoir evaluation.
  • Prepare technical reports for wellsite geologists and drilling engineers to support real-time operational decisions.
Mar – May 2025

Geospatial Data Analyst

SPARRSO — Space Research & Remote Sensing Organization
  • Processed multi-source, multi-temporal satellite imagery for climate, water-resource and land-use change monitoring at national scale.
  • Built and maintained ArcGIS maps for flood, drought and land-cover monitoring; validated large spatial datasets and produced reports informing national policy.
Sep 2023 – Feb 2025

Graduate Research Assistant

Dept. of Geological Sciences, Jahangirnagar University
  • Conducted field surveys, sediment sampling and geological mapping across river and floodplain study sites.
  • Performed laboratory analysis — X-ray diffraction, grain-size distribution and petrographic studies.
  • Applied ArcGIS, QGIS and Google Earth Pro for spatial analysis; co-drafted manuscripts and conference papers.

Research Output

MSc Thesis — Evolution of the Padma-Meghna-Arial Khan Interfluve

Remote sensing, geomorphic & sedimentological approach

Reconstructed millennial-to-decadal river pathways of a major tidal-river interfluve in the Bengal Basin, integrating multi-temporal satellite imagery, geomorphic change analysis and sedimentological data from 306 samples across 26 excavation sites (Shariatpur, Madaripur, Faridpur). Analysed erosion, accretion, sinuosity change and channel migration in ArcGIS/QGIS.

  • Journal paper (accepted): Journal of Earth System Sciences, Springer — first author.
  • Conference: research presentation, IAEG academic seminar, Jahangirnagar University.
